I will try not to gush, but I might have a hard time. I just fell for these two. They could not take their eyes off of one another and would get so wrapped up in each other's presence. They had a quiet, content happiness on their day. It was such a joy to watch and document. You two are why we do what we do. Remember Ashley and Jake from their snowy winter engagement at the Morton Arboretum? Ashley purposely wanted their engagement session and wedding photos to be in the same location in different season.
Can't hide happiness.
Eric was over with the guys as they got ready and shared a pre-wedding brew together!
First looks are so amazing! Jake and Ashley had a wonderful time in the lush green of Morton Arboretum being alone and soaking it all in. Photo below by Eric.
Their wedding day was a hot day in July, so their wedding programs were fans!
Eric caught this lovely moment of Ashley's Dad walking her down the aisle.
Just announced husband and wife. Its official!
Their garden party reception was classic and elegant.
Their wedding favors were seed packets of wildflowers!
Ashley had a wonderful connection with her Dad. It was touching for all to watch the special relationship they share.
Then the party got started!
They honored Ashley's parents with an Anniversary Dance to their song.... it was so touching to see the love in both the brand new marriage and the one that has traveled together for the last 30+ years. ( if my memory serves me properly)
A huge congratulations to Ashley and Jake!! We had such a wonderful day with you and celebrated along with your family and friends. When we left we chatted all the way back to city about the love you two shared, the small glances we observed back and forth between you and how much fun both Eric and I had. We think you two are quite special and wish you the best!
