When I saw this mug sitting in the coffee shop I refused to buy it, thinking “I don’t need this? do I?” I Then I walked around it, picked it up, counted how many more there were left, picked it up again, remembered how our kitchen cabinets are overflowing with mugs that we vow to get rid of and just can’t seem to.

grow. so simple. so green. so me. so very inspiring.

When I saw eric for the first time that day, I was surprised how quickly my encounter with this mug was blurting from my mouth. The size, shape, color…. Eric asked “You got it right??” I replied with a no. He rolled his eyes and told me to go get it right now…..

I was too embarrassed that this simple mug had meant so much to me. Two days had past, and Eric returned from his day with a gift….

grow.

This mug has become a motto for me and this business. I sip my morning coffee on many mornings, hoping something magical, something inspiring will seep out of it and into me. It is so many things that I am about….

simple. green on the inside. lowercase. imperfect. trying for more.
