As far as events go, we work hard. Constantly switching out lenses clicking through settings and finding THE shots. Its not too often that we allow ourselves to relax when we work.
Last weekend Half Acre invited us to photograph “Lights Out” a party hosted by Half Acre and The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild during Chicago Craft Beer Week. With a line out the door Half Acre was packed. Once you walked in you were greeted by hundreds of beer enthusiasts eagerly awaiting another taste of the several beers on tap. Overhearing discussions on the brews, and “oh, did you try the Double Daisy Cutter?” You have to have Half Acre’s Double Daisy Cutter. Not to mention you must check out the other brewers who showed: Piece, Goose Island, Three Floyds, Revolution, Gordon Bierch, Two Brothers, Metropolitan, Lunar, Rock Bottom, Dogfish Head, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Southern Tier, The Bruery, North Coast, Sun King, and New Holland.
The food was fantastic. The music was fantastic. City Provisions, Revolution Brewery, and NhuLan’s Bakery brought the eats, as DJ Major Taylor brought the beats, mixing music the entire night. There were cheers to Half Acre for hosting the event and many many happy event goers, including us. Thanks for letting us capture this event!
