Here is Part 2 of Christian and Lidia’s day! If you missed Part 1, click here! If you’d like to check out their engagement session, click here.
The entire day we were all crossing our fingers for no rain. Our forecast was less than hopeful ( 80% rain or something horrible like that), but it turned out perfect. It POURED during their ceremony at Notre Dame Cathedral. POURED. Lidia told me later they never heard a thing… The light after the rain was incredible. The leaves were glowing green, a newly married couple crazy in love and soft dreamy light. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Lidia is a fab graphic designer with her touch evident throughout her every detail. She designed the programs, escort cards, favors, table settings, and even a guest book full of her engagement session photos!

WIth her tropical theme, Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier was the perfect fit and a great place to party!

Thanks again Christian and Lidia for allowing Eric and I to tell your story. We feel privileged and honored to share such am amazing day with you both!

In keeping with the natural melancholy aesthetic of shoot, the film by Put Down the Bourbon was shot in an dramatic raw perspective with an original music composition by Paper Door. We didn’t want a smooth over-produced video but the edges a bit unkempt and an intimate perspective into this bride’s waiting. Muted Love. from … Continue reading

This week started my yearly class at Chicago Botanic Garden teaching Macro Photography in the greenhouse. LOVE THOSE PICTURES!!! WHAT BEAUTIFUL GREENS…(my favorite color as you know!) I feel like I have come to know this bride and groom just by admiring their engagement and wedding photos! Great work Jessie!
These are so wonderful! My favorite one is of Lid with the umbrella — it captures her beauty and personality. I can’t wait to see all of them.
The photos are incredible…I knew they would be great (following our fab engagement shoot) but they fully exceeded any expectations I might have had.
You two are fabulously talented. I just love how you blended nature and city, and the peeks of bright color are fantastic. The greens are indeed amazing and Jessie’s suggestion for the bubble umbrella was brilliant. I’ve heard so many compliments already on the photos. We all can’t wait to see the rest!!
Thank you Jessie & Eric for being with us on our special day — you rock!!
