Only a week ago we were soaking up as much sun as possible and enjoying a warm weekend with these two. You may remember their dreamy lakeside engagement shoot last summer here in Chicago. We were thrilled when Ashley and Phil decided on a destination wedding. Leave Chicago for Miami in Januray? YES PLEASE!
Ashley and Phil were so ready to be married. They were both filled to the brim and bubbling over with excitement. Not about the event, or the party, or even their beloved friends and family but about one another. It was a special kind of love. It was fresh, comfortable, protective, beautiful and such a joy to be around. I’m not one to gush normally, but it was such a beautiful beautiful day.
Also, can I just say that Ashley was the queen of accessories complete with killer shoes, vintage hat, sparkly jewelry and killer red lips. Both her and Phil were an amazing blend of vintage and classic.

Ashley’s bridesmaids were all so sweet and clearly love her dearly. I love this shot of her best ladies gathered around her and helping her with the final touches. There is nothing in the world like your girlfriends.

First Look on Miami stormy beach. Eric’s shot.

Windy stormy ocean = photography bliss.

We did not have the time we wanted at the beach and literally went running when we felt the first few rain drops. We traded in a stormy beach for beautiful for lush tropical green next door to their ceremony site an ancient Spanish Monastery. ( saving that for tomorrow! )

Come back tomorrow for Part 2 full of the Spanish Monastery and candlelit ceremony. Stay tuned!

In keeping with the natural melancholy aesthetic of shoot, the film by Put Down the Bourbon was shot in an dramatic raw perspective with an original music composition by Paper Door. We didn’t want a smooth over-produced video but the edges a bit unkempt and an intimate perspective into this bride’s waiting. Muted Love. from … Continue reading

I so agree with your assessment. That photographer was very creative and does excellent work and in those close-ups, Ashley looks like a professional model. Who did her makeup
a note from my sweet freind Judith-)
so amazing!
> The event seemed so beguiling – so otherworldly …………… and
> the photographer caught the essence of it all on film
> ……………………… the photo with the ethereal, dense
