Tis' the season of Family Sessions!! We are editing as fast as our fingers will go and are drowning in adorable family sessions bursting with little ones. Family photography and wedding photography are two very different assignments. I used to think that I would be better for just concentrating on one of the other, but mixing up the work, keeps me growing as a photographer and bringing unique perspective to the other discipline. I am always overwhelmed with families but not in the way you think. I am always struck with how nicely the husband speaks to his wife, how their son listens when mom asks him to stand still. Family sessions always leave me fuller, happier and restores a bit of deep down hope. I was blessed with loving parents, both to me and my brother as well as to one another. I feel so privileged to have been given a legacy of family. So many of my nearest and dearest have not been so lucky and are fighting for a new song to pass down to their generations. Not sure if this makes sense, but seeing raw, real families in each life phase brings about hope for the future.

On such a nice note, I must brag... these three kids hands down were the most well behaved three I have ever photographed. And the littlest in that sweater vest with chocolate brown eyes melted me as I was editing.
